Last Friday, C Three Business Consultants had the opportunity to attend the Women Empowering Women Riverbend Chapter Meeting, where business owners and professionals gathered to connect, learn, and grow together.
The featured speaker, Heather Bunch, delivered an impactful presentation titled “Courage Over Comfort: How Your Hidden Fear Might Be Blocking Your Business.” Her message challenged attendees to look beyond business strategies and examine the deeper fears that may be influencing their decisions, actions, and growth.

Heather began by addressing a common reality for many entrepreneurs and business leaders: we are capable, driven, and committed to building something meaningful, yet certain steps often feel far more difficult than they should. Whether it’s procrastinating on important tasks, overthinking decisions, avoiding visibility, or delaying action until “tomorrow,” these patterns can quietly hold us back from reaching the next level in our businesses.
One of the presentation’s most powerful insights was the idea that fear doesn’t always appear as fear. Instead, it often disguises itself as perfectionism, busyness, indecision, or the belief that no one else can do the job as well as we can. As a result, many business owners find themselves carrying too much responsibility, avoiding opportunities that require vulnerability, or remaining stuck in familiar routines that feel comfortable but limit growth.
Heather encouraged attendees to identify the hidden core fears that may be shaping their business decisions and to recognize how those fears can become invisible barriers to success. By choosing courage over comfort, entrepreneurs can begin taking meaningful action that moves them closer to their goals and creates opportunities for personal and professional growth.
A key takeaway from the session was that the biggest obstacle standing in the way of growth is not always a lack of strategy, resources, or knowledge. Sometimes, the greatest challenge is the fear that quietly influences the choices we make every day.
At C Three Business Consultants, we believe that business growth requires both strategic planning and the courage to step outside of our comfort zones. Heather’s presentation served as a valuable reminder that lasting success often begins when we are willing to confront the fears holding us back and take action despite uncertainty.
We would like to thank Heather Bunch and the Women Empowering Women Riverbend Chapter for hosting another inspiring event. We look forward to continuing to learn from thought leaders, build meaningful relationships, and support the incredible community of women in business.
