C Three business Consultants attended a women’s business leader event hosted by Greater St. Louis, Inc., focused on the Tornado Relief Update following the devastating May 16, 2025, tornado that struck St. Louis. The event highlighted the ongoing recovery efforts and the critical need for continued community support, emphasizing that the fight to rebuild is far from over. A panel featuring four key organizations—Invest STL, Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, United Way of Greater St. Louis, and Greater St. Louis, Inc.—discussed their roles in leading relief initiatives.
Invest STL shared their collaboration with community partners to deliver supplies and support neighborhood stabilization. The Urban League detailed their large-scale distribution events, including food, toiletries, and tarps, with over 500 volunteers aiding thousands of families, and their Humanitarian Housing Program for displaced residents. United Way highlighted their Severe Storm/Tornado Relief Fund and volunteer coordination through the Volunteer Center, ensuring resources reach those in need. Greater St. Louis, Inc. emphasized their role in uniting business and civic leaders to drive long-term rebuilding and economic recovery, including support for impacted businesses via the St. Louis Development Corporation. The panel emphasized the urgent need for volunteers, donations, and skilled labor to address ongoing challenges like home repairs and resource distribution, inspiring attendees to contribute to the region’s resilient recovery.
