We want to give a HUGE shout out to AGC of Missouri and their amazing team for putting together an eventful 2 days of fun, networking, and invaluable information at AECTech Con 2025. Today is the second day and I can only imagine what today is like considering how impactful and engaging yesterday was.
Yesterday, C Three Business Consultants had the opportunity to speak to the AEC industry about Cybersecurity and CMMC 2.0. We provided VERY simple steps on how to get started with ensuring digital safety protocols and being aware of how other attacks on a business can happen. The information provided was to bring light to what’s happening in today’s digital world and to be aware of rules and regulations that stem from DoD (Department of Defense).
If you are looking to secure federal government contracts, it is a requirement to be CMMC certified. To get certified you have to go through a rigorous process and maintain that certification on an annual basis to continue to qualify working on federal government projects. The process of being CMMC certified can take up 1 year if not longer. You will not be able to work on any federal government projects, specifically DoD, without being CMMC certified.
There are some states that are starting to adopt this model to ensure safety and confidentiality to proprietary information. It will only be a matter of time before all states adapt to this, and all cities start to do the same. If you want to stay ahead of this and ensure that you have opportunity working with any government agency, then now’s the time to act on it!
