We have a client that were using cell phones as their business phone lines. They have remote employees all over the United States. They were paying for the cell phone equipment as well as the cell phone line. I reviewed their bill, and they were paying a lot for the equipment and services.
We recently switched them over to VoIP. VoIP allowed them to be able to still get calls from where they were located. They didn’t pay anything for the equipment, they just paid a monthly fee for the phone lines. The phone lines per month were half the costs if not more inexpensive than their cell phone service.
It was easy, we programmed the phones ourselves and shipped them out to each remote user. All the phones talked to each other. If one person was on the line the call would then transfer to another person so there are no missed calls. They were able to still use the phones effectively and also save money.
Businesses think they only need to switch services if there is an issue. You may not have any I.T. issues but you probably don’t know you have expense issues. Expenses are the last thing that gets reviewed because your departments don’t speak to each other about what you have and what you’re paying. Take the time to review your expenses and find ways to lower them. You want to have continuity through the Pandemic and through Inflation.
